The Story She Didn't Want

"As I write about our past, I can’t help but find joy in a time that was so painful. The day we wept for our lost plans was the day our lives became more complete. The loss we felt in the pit of our stomach was actually breathtaking beauty in disguise. I am grateful for the heartache we went through because it has changed perspective on life. I want to love the unloved. I want to find joy when it seems so difficult to find. I want to speak of hope when everything feels hopeless. I want to give a piece of my story to the mom who grieves loss and feels alone. I want to be a reminder of God’s beautiful and perfect plan. My story is not what I planned for it to be, it is far better!"

True Love God's Way

God has never promised us days without pain because He knows that trials are the very things that strengthen us and that His grace is made perfect when we are weak. A wise woman knows that joy and peace come from the Lord, while a foolish one seeks happiness anywhere she can find it."

Dear Lord

You know my heart Lord. You know I want to serve you in every area in my life. I want nothing more than to be a sunshine for you … to be the woman you described in your word.
I want to be a godly wife and mother. But I have to admit Lord that I feel overwhelmed with the task you have put before me. I am feeling very angry and frustrated. I don’t know what to do or how to respond and react to the everyday situations that arise. I feel that oft times I do and say the wrong things. I am not a very good light for you. Often I feel lost and alone. I feel like I am drowning.
Lord why must this life be so hard? Why can I not get a hang of anything? every time I feel like I have made a step forward I feel like I take 20 back. When will I ever find some resolution? Please Lord help me! Be my guide? Give me your strength to carry on and to trust you.
I pray this in your Holy name and ask you humbly to hold me in your loving arms and embrace me with your protection from the evil one.

How can I know

When it’s your voice I hear?

How much longer will it be

Before you will feel near?

What must I do 

To earn your holy trust?

Can this ever be accomplished?

Will you always be just?

I don’t know where to go

Nor whom to seek!

I feel so abandoned 

And so very weak.

What I have learned 

About your unfailing loving call,

This is what my damaged heart

Needs beyond and above all.

I may never understand 

On this side of heavens gate,

But no matter what the outcome

I’ll trust you beyond that date.
